MA Private Wealth is pleased to welcome Jennifer De Guzman to the team in the role of Client Service Associate. Jennifer comes to the firm with close to a decade of experience supporting clients and advisors at wealth management firms across the Bay Area, and a hands-on approach to making sure clients feel taken care of at every turn.
When asked how she would describe her role to someone outside the industry, Jennifer explains that the service team is the backbone behind the financial advisor. From money movement and cashiering requests to new account applications, transfers, and in-office client support, she handles the full range of service needs that keep things running smoothly for clients.
What drew Jennifer to MA Private Wealth was the firm's size and its approach. Coming from larger organizations with 40 or more staff members, she was looking for something more intimate, more family-feeling, and more focused on the individual client. The white-glove approach to service resonated with her right away. “I really love that MA Private Wealth is very client focused,” she says. “You want everything to be seamless and you want to make sure client needs are being handled well.” After meeting the team, she knew it was the right fit. She was looking for a place to plant roots and grow, and says MA Private Wealth felt like exactly that.
The work that means most to Jennifer is being present for clients during moments that matter. She has walked clients through retirement, helped surviving spouses understand accounts for the first time, and on more than one occasion, driven directly to a client's home to lend a hand. "I like to help walk them through the process," she says. For Jennifer, good service is about showing up with empathy and treating people the way you would want to be treated.
Outside the office, Jennifer is settling into life as a newlywed, having married her husband in October 2024. They have a blended family with two sons and a new French bulldog named Onyx. In her downtime, you will most likely find her with a book in her hand, after getting hooked on reading during her honeymoon.
